‘Tis The Season…

Last year was a bad one for tornadoes in Kansas. It started early, ran long, and had what may well have been a record number of tornadoes. Damage wasn’t as great as some years have been and there weren’t the spectacular ones like Greensburg or McConnell, but it was a very rough year.

It seems it is starting already this year and we are barely into March! The warning sirens went off in town on Saturday (March 7) and reports say three tornadoes touched down in the area, the one shown below just south of town, and two more by the Hutchinson airport just to the east of town. We got rain, high winds, and hail here in the middle of Hutch.
